living in tumultuous times.
Not just in the physical realm
but in the spiritual as well.
Taunted by the system
to live up to the image of success.
But what is success and
how do I attain it?
Economically squeezed! Esoterically challenged!
Working to maintain connection
with myself and my community.
Looking through the dark
to find a shaft of light
that will guide my next step.
After six years in academia
I’m more disillusioned that ever.
Education is for social robots and
wisdom comes at a high price.
It pushes you to the edge of yourself
while life gasps with gratitude.
